imageOf course I chose the busiest time of the year for most of us to launch my blog! Why not? Christmas can truly be “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. One thing is for certain, we transform our homes, both inside and out, our businesses,  our towns, and hopefully our hearts to reflect a time of celebration, a time for introspection, a time to go the extra mile with kindness and generosity that will hopefully extend throughout the coming year.

Millions of people in the world celebrate our Savior’s birth on December 25th, and reflect for weeks on the advent of his birth. If you’ve ever had the privilege of attending a Christmas Eve candlelight service, you’ve experienced one of my favorite events of the season.

I’ve chosen this time of birth and re-birth (or frankly it has chosen me), to finally launch my blog. I want to honor our Creator in everything I do. I admit that the struggle associated with that statement is real and ongoing for me.

In Paul’s writings we are directed to “capture every thought” and examine it for obedience to the way of Christ. If you’re at all like me, the thought that just dashed through your brain went something like, “Eeevvvery-siiiingle-one?” Yes, I believe that’s the goal. Further, it’s not a leap at all to recognize that if we’re to capture our thoughts we’re most definitely to capture our actions.

It is too that end, that I dedicate this blog, and any time that you invest visiting and reading the contents to the perfect idea of bringing honor to my Creator while pursuing His purpose for the talents He has unselfishly poured on me.

The content of the blog will include a glimpse into the intricacies of ‘Life on King Lane’ (ha-ha – that made me spew coffee all over the screen). Intricacies? Let’s try…..intrique, no, no that’s not it…..adventures..no….goings on (not sure that’s in the dictionary although I heard it ‘a plenty’ growing up in the south), I’ll just say interests!

As for my interests, (Seeker of Christ, Wife of Tom the Great, Mother of Tom the Great Junior (aka T.J.)  and Annalisa the Beautiful, Best Friend of Champ, Home Decorating Addict, Antique Lover, and Self Proclaimed Thrift Pro, and Fashion Devotee) they are numerous. We will try our best to stay away from the kitchen, ugly talk about aging, and politics, leaving those for the experts and the tough skinned.

Thank you for your interest.  I will be posting a tour of our home decked out for Christmas later this week! Come back, now.

Enjoy Today!

Love y’all,

Lori Nell
