One of my favorite areas to feed the need to create is on a dining table. Over the past several years, building my INSTAGRAM account (tap here to check it out), and writing a blog to inspire your creativity, I’ve completed a great number of tablescapes. It’s also been fun seeing my spaces (and photography skills) develop over the years. There are at least four dining tables pictured on this blog! Some I purchased and refinished and sold! Others, I determined were to small for the space and sold. Even the tables that made the cut, have been relocated to the kitchen or basement. Phew! No wonder I’m tired!
Mix and Match Table Settings
The broken record, again, encourages you to mix the dishes you own on your everyday table. Despite what appears on this blog, I don’t own seven hundred sets of dishes! I do own several sets of six or eight snack plates. If you love setting fun tablescapes, you can pick up orphaned lunch size, or snack plate sets on clearance aisles, or even at thrift stores.
As you might expect, the most recent is always my favorite. This chinoiserie style tablescape hits all my decor passion buttons: color, curated, chinoiserie, bold and unafraid.

There are so many options for centerpieces. You can go to the florist and purchase a beautiful and expensive bouquet. You can cut flowers from your back yard.
