How to Decorate a Flocked Christmas Tree
- Place a Large Flat Sheet on the Floor Before Setting UP the Tree
- Fluff each section of the tree before adding the next – drastically reduces scratching of arms
- Put the lights on – if you’re haven’t switched to pre lit OR if you like to add lights to your pre-lit
- Place your largest ornaments/picks
- Start adding medium sized and smaller ornaments
- Hang your SPECIAL baubles – if you have a handful of ornaments that set the theme place them now in eye catching locations
- Ribbon time! There are so many beautiful ways to hang ribbon. Choose your favorite and add away. This is also when I would add garland .
- Add the crowning glory – cherry on top – whatever you place atop the tree

Create an Enchanted Flocked Christmas Tree
This year’s tree is not as labor intensive as is demonstrated. So that’s the good news. The space between the branches on the Noble Christmas tree really showcases the ornaments. I only used a handful of picks on this tree, whereas the trees I’ve featured in the past (linked above) are loaded with picks. This is a different look, and happens to be simpler.
7 Elements to Create an Enchanted Flocked Christmas Tree
- Feather Boa
- Pearl Picks
- Elegant Ribbon
- Vintage Ornaments
- Pastel Ornaments
- Birds – Surprise Element
- Metal hearts
Step 1 and 2 Feather Boa and Pearl Picks
The first two elements for this tree are completely unexpected. The feather boas create such a captivating snow-drift look on the tree. I used 5 – 6 ft boas on my tree.

The white pearl picks add to the enchantment. I used 4 picks on the topper and scattered several throughout the tree.

Step 3 ~ Let’s talk about Christmas Ribbon
Buy the best Christmas Ribbon you can afford. You can use it year after year, if you take care when putting it away.
You can find ribbon at craft stores that is beautiful and less expensive. However, I’ve found that it only looks good a year or two.
Here’s the ribbon I used on the tree, yes it was a splurge for me. I had one spool of the blue to create the bow and most of a 10-yard spool to create the streamers on top.

Step 4 ~ Vintage Christmas Ornaments
You have a couple of choices for vintage ornaments. The true vintage ornaments both shiny brites and push pins are hard to find, and can be so expensive. I’ve curated my collection one ornament at a time over years.
The manufactures saw this trend toward vintage and have re-created the look for a little less. Here are some of each:

So many options for pastel Christmas ornaments. Here are a few:

Step 6 ~ Surprise Christmas Tree Decoration – Pastel Birds
We’ve been placing woodland elements on our Christmas trees for years. However, typically they have been neutrals or an occasional red cardinal.
Last year I found the most captivating glass parrot Christmas ornaments in beautiful pastels at……Hobby Lobby. They have a nice collection of glass ornaments most years. Unfortunately, I did not see these beautiful birds this year. I have found a few on-line and some similar glass ornaments.

The small clip birds are so charming. These I found in the 90% discount bin this past spring! Loved the colors, and the price was right, so I purchased them all, not sure at the time where I would use them. They are the most enchanting element on the tree, and the least expensive. Sometimes it works like that! Here are some similar ones:

Step 7 ~ Metal Heart Christmas Ornaments
Don’t forget to add the love. These varying sized brass hearts do the trick. I use the sacred hearts year round. I hang them over ginger jars or vases.

A Wonderful White Christmas Tree Skirt
Finally, I’ve looked for years, years for just the right Christmas Tree Skirt. I’ve used netting and throws in the past. But, I was thrilled to find just the right one at HomeGoods. It’s the scalloped edge and the hand-sewn gyms that do it for me!

Although I couldn’t find the exact Christmas Tree Skirt for you, I did find one that is sooooo close. I’ve sources it below.
