So you’re planning to host a fall family dinner. I have the perfect relaxed table setting that still shows you invested a little time and effort. Here’s a guide to create an Elegant Farmhouse Fall Tablescape. It is both elegant with cut crystal and vintage Johnson Brothers English Countryside Dishes, and farmhouse with brown and white buffalo check napkins, and galvanized tin lantern.

Vintage China helps Create an Elegant Farmhouse Fall Tablescape
Although I’m not typically a lover of brown, I do enjoy the color for fall. I have a set of vintage Johnson Brothers Olde English Countryside dishware with brown as the main color. It finds a way to the table at least once every fall.

White Tablecloth
The table is anchored with a vintage white tablecloth that has an exquisite five inch lace trim. Yes, it is a round table cloth on a rectangle table. I break almost all the rules, so that’s no surprise to you! I love that you get a good look at the lace as it borders the ends of the table.

Simple and Affordable Fall Centerpiece
The center piece is super quick, easy, and inexpensive. We love those words, right? I used a galvanized lantern that I’ve had for a while as the base. Instead of using a predictable candle, I loaded it with fruit, vegetables, plants, and fairy lights (a modern day cornucopia)! Fall Leaves and Branches : Free Fall Decor
When the lighting was perfect for photographing the table, and I had no flowers on hand, I headed to the front yard and clipped some low hanging branches from our Japanese Maple. You can see they are just starting to show off their beautiful fall color.

Use the Crystal Goblets, Candlesticks, and Vases
If you’re not using those wedding gifts at least weekly, why not? The candlesticks, floral vases, chargers, and water goblets add an unexpected fancy element to all the earthy browns.

Add Fall Decor to your Chandelier – Make Mine a Feather Boa
You know by now, that the chandelier can’t go unadorned. She got REAL fancy this fall with a feather boa all her own. I think it’s stunning on her. What do you think?

Buffalo Check Napkins add a Casual Element to the Elegant Farmhouse Fall Tablescape
The brown and white gingham napkins create a comfortable casual feel to the tablescape. You ask every year where you can find brown buffalo check napkins. I’ve had mine for years, and have yet to find them for you. I did, however, source some great buffalo checked napkins for you.
Caramel Apples Add Fun to a Fall Tablescape
The caramel apples jumped into my cart at the grocery store! They are such a fun little surprise on the fall table. Be sure to subscribe to the blog, and check back for a simple gluten free caramel apple recipe. Coming soon!
